Why is Capricorn tubing better?
Premium PTFE bowden tubing from Capricorn is manufactured to higher standards than typically PTFE tubing. Most PTFE tubing has a 2mm inner diameter, while XS tubing has a nominal internal diameter of 1.9mm, with a tight ±0.05mm tolerance. This smaller diameter makes it excellent for printing flexible materials, as there is no room for the filament to bind up inside the tube. The low friction coefficient allows any filament to slide through the tubing with ease.
