Simplify3d Profiles

We have three profiles for each of the LM Nano hotends

Rigid: for is for non-flexible materials

Semi-Flex: for slightly flexible materials like ColorFabb nGen Flex and NinjaTek SemiFlex,

Flex: for super flexible materials such as NinjaTek NinjaFlex.

We periodically update these profiles with improvements, so please check back from time to time to see if new versions have been posted.

IMPORTANT!

There is a command to the end gcode script that will hold a bed temperature of 45ºC until the printer is turned off or the “Emergency Stop” button is pressed. This is to reduce the chance of damaging the PEI sheet on the LulzBot Mini. Removing your parts from a cold PEI sheet can cause them to stick too well and eventually this may cause the PEI to lift and bubble in some places. This feature is intended to mitigate this issue.

Using composites and flexible materials like ColorFabb WoodFill and XT-CF20, and NinjaTek NinjaFlex and SmeiFlex is NOT RECOMMENDED with the 0.25mm HOTEND. The particles in composite filaments can clog and jam small diameter nozzles. Additionally, the small diameter nozzle creates a great deal of back pressure causing flexible materials to buckle and jam. We do include composite and flex profiles for the 0.25mm hotend, but these are for EXPERIMENTAL PURPOSES only. If you wish to try them, use at your own risk. We have had some success slowing the print speed to around 25mm/s for composites.

Profile Import Instructions

  1. Click the download link for the profiles you would like to use.

  2. Open Simplify3d and select File>Import FFF Profile

  3. Use the file locator to locate the files you just downloaded and select “open”

  4. Your LM Nano Profiles will now be available in your process settings
