PT1000 sensor with fibreglass heat proof sleeving, and high temperature wire. (2-wire type).

  • Cartridge style sensor 20mm x 3mm (dia) stainless steel

  • 200cm wire 

PT1000 sensors use platinum to detect change in temperature due to changing resistance. Unlike thermistors, they work over a wide range of temperatures and should be capable of 400 degrees celcius in 3D printing applications.

It might be possible to connect them to 8-bit boards (marlin etc.) as a thermistor but you will need to create a thermistor table and the resolution might not be very high as the resistance range is fairly small between room temp and printing temps. Some investigation is needed here. 

Supplied with 200cm high-temperature wire (up to 200 deg C) these units have an E3D cartridge style sensor, which fits E3D heater blocks 15mm length and 3mm diameter. 

Resistance measured 1071 Ohms at 20 degrees C (referenced against k-type thermocouple). Resistance rises linearly as temperature rises.
