FDM MATERIAL GUIDE

STANDARD

Standard 3D printing materials with good print properties suitable for most common situations

eSun PLA+

PLA is great for models and prototypes where the strength and temperature resistance of our co-polyester and nylon materials is not needed. Print quality is outstanding and prints have a great semi-gloss finish.

eSun PETG

PETG is our go to co-polyester and is great for usable parts and prototypes. It is stronger and more temperature resistant than PLA. PETG has a glossy surface finish.

eSun ABS+

ABS has a high temperature resistance around 80ºC. ABS is quite tough and impact resistant, but is prone to shrinkage, which increases the likelihood of warping on large flat parts.

ENGINEERING

Specially modified 3D printing materials for demanding applications

ColorFabb HT

HT is our high temperature co-polyester with a temperature resistance around 110ºC. It also exhibits exceptional layer bonding and it is quite tough. Surface finish is glossy. ColorFabb HT is made with Amphora HT5300 and is a low-odor and styrene-free material uniquely suited for those who need their models to exhibit excellent durability, toughness and high temperature resistance with a Tg of over 100⁰C. ColorFabb HT empowers professional users to create more durable and useful items, making prototyping truly functional.

Taulman Nylon Alloy 910

Taulman Alloy 910 is the combined effort of chemical companies, extrusion manufactures and taulman3D to specifically develop a single material to meet as many high performance 3D Printing needs as possible. Alloy 910 has a combined tensile strength higher than the strongest co-polyesters, the durability of Nylons, a low shrinkage factor, a vast range of chemical resistance and a 82C working range. Uses such as direct mounting to auto motors or diesel motors for ports.

FLEXIBLE

Flexible materials are great for grips, gaskets, feet, and more

NinjaTek NinjaFlex

NinjaTek NinjaFlex is our most flexible FDM material with a shore hardness of 85A. NinjaFlex offers outstanding layer bonding and printed parts a nearly indestructible. Temperature resistance is also quite good at around 140ºC. The flexibility of a part can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the infill percentage.

NinjaTek SemiFlex

NinjaTek SemiFlex is a less flexible version of NinjaFlex with a shore hardness of 98A. SemiFlex offers outstanding layer bonding and printed parts a nearly indestructible. Temperature resistance is also quite good at around 140ºC. The flexibility of a part can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the infill percentage.

COMPOSITE

3D printing plastics modified with fibers or particles to exhibit unique characteristics both mechanical and aesthetic

ColorFabb WoodFill

ColorFabb WoodFill contains about 70% colorfabb PLA and 30% recycled wood fibers. WoodFill has a great matte surface finish and can be sanded and stained to have a near furniture like finish.*

ColorFabb CopperFill

CopperFill contains actual copper particles! Straight from the printer parts look almost laser sintered with a matte finish. With a bit of sanding and polishing the copper particles will start to shine and shimmer unlike any 3d printing filament you have seen before.* The weight of the material is something special, about 3 times heavier then stander printing materials.

ColorFabb XT-CF20 (Carbon Fiber)

ColorFabb XT-CF20 is our stiffest material and contains a minimum of 20% carbon fibers. It has a fantastic dark matte grey surface finish that is great for hiding the layer lines. Applications include the RC Industry, Drones, Aerospace, Automotive, Prototyping and many more. XT-CF20 does not bridge well, so support material is almost always required even for the smallest of bridges.**

*All composites ship without post processing. Post processing is required to achieve specialty finishes.

**Bridging is when the printer has connect two components of a part over open space. Small samples can be bridged without support depending on the material.
